WELCOME TO A DIFFERENT PACE.

Take a
slower look.

Pause for a moment,
and a different world comes into view.

01 — THE PHILOSOPHYSlow is a way of seeing.

In a fast world,
we think
slowly.

Chasing what's new doesn't, on its own,
reveal what's actually new.

Technology, business, culture —
step back from the change in front of you,
and the connections beneath it start to appear.

Slow Times is a newsletter that uses what's happening in America as a starting point for thinking carefully about the world.

"Slow" doesn't just mean slow.
It means pausing, observing, and thinking at your own pace.

Like beavers, building not just a place to live,
but the ecosystem around it.

OBSERVE.CONNECT.REFLECT.

Slow Times

A newsletter for continually learning how the world works, and sharing those small "aha" moments as content. Drawing on a background growing up in the U.S. and ongoing time split between Japan and America, it looks at culture and business from that vantage point.

Slow Times is one of the leading publications in Substack's Japan region.
